Wind Comfort Simulation in the Cloud with Procedural Compute and Grasshopper.
Procedural Compute is a cloud platform for utilisation of computational resources. The system is tailored for handling multiphysics simulation jobs used in the AEC industry. The Compute is developed to seamlessly integrate with Grasshopper to keep the simulation workflow as efficient as possible.
In this workshop we will guide you through setup of an outdoor comfort simulation. We use Compute to run the CFD simulations. The workshop requires no previous knowledge about CFD and wind simulations. We will take Grasshopper users through a canvas that sets up the case and computes the wind comfort around a project from the Architecture Studio 3XN. The project is situated at the harbour front in Aarhus, Denmark.
Speaker: Christian Kongsgaard is an architectural engineer focused on computational environmental design and streamlining building performance simulations. He is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Procedural.
